◉ Step 1 : Sunblocking

◉ Step 2 : Potent Anti-Oxidants
Sun-damage of our skin can be triggered by the free radicals, primarily singlet oxygen which is produced from the light-harvesting chlorophyll molecules in the process of photosynthesis. Singlet oxygen generated by photoexcitation and by chemiexcitation selectively reacts with the guanine moiety in nucleosides and in DNA. In the consequent chain of oxidative reaction, free radicals damage cell function and genetic material and later break down connective tissues of collagen and elastic, which causes wrinkles and old looking apperance consequently. They also cause cancer by changing the genetic material, RNA and DNA of the cell and damage the enzymes helping the repair mechanism of the abnormal or damaged DNA.
Theraderm BB White Sunblock can provide the biological protection against singlet oxygen and other free radicals by quenching them systematically.

◉ Step3 : Whitening (Niacinamide)
Caption: Niacinamide
block melanin production by interfering in the process at two different points - reducing formation and appearance of age spots. A key enzyme in melanin biosynthesis is tyrosinase. It is initially produced in the cell as an inactive pro-enzyme, which is then glycosylated to the active form. While n-acetyl glucosamine (a sugar itself) is not a direct inhibitor of tyrosinase, it does inhibit the activation of the enzyme, resulting in a decrease in melanin. Niacinamide inhibits the transfer of melanin-containing melansomes to the outer layers of skin, helping prevent the formation of an age spot.

Pterostilbene plays the pharmacological actions as the defense and repair system of the skin from the photo-damage. It alleviates diseases associated with oxidative damage and aging with diverse pharmacological actions which are anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic and antioxidant; these activities stem from biological interactions at a fundamental level for both control of gene expression and enzyme activity modulation.Pterostilbene shows higher biological activity based on relatively higher bioavailability compared to resveratrol,
since substitution of a hydroxy with a methoxy group increases the transport into cells and increases the metabolic stability of the molecule.
